Workshop & Repairs
Which types of bikes do you repair?
We repair and maintain most brands and types of regular bicycles, including city bikes, children's bikes, trekking bikes, mountain bikes and many electric bikes. We do not accept fatbikes or VanMoof bicycles. For special bicycles and electric systems, we first assess whether we have the required knowledge, equipment and parts. View our workshop information.
Do I need an appointment for a repair or maintenance?
An appointment is strongly recommended if you want your bike to be serviced on a specific day. Without an appointment, bikes are handled in order of arrival. Make a workshop appointment online.
When should I bring my bike for an appointment?
Please bring your bike between 9:00 AM and 10:00 AM on the scheduled day, or on the preceding working day. Late delivery may delay the repair or maintenance. Read more about our workshop procedure.
What happens if I visit without an appointment?
You may bring your bike without an appointment. It will then be handled in order of arrival. The turnaround time depends on workload, required work and parts availability. View our workshop information.
How long does regular maintenance take?
Regular maintenance usually takes approximately two working days, excluding Saturday. It may take longer if parts must be ordered or additional work is required. View our maintenance packages.
Why can a repair take longer than expected?
A repair may take longer if the bike is delivered late, additional defects are discovered, brand-specific parts are required or parts are not immediately available. Diagnosing electrical faults may also require several days.
How will I know when my bike is ready?
You will receive a text message and/or email when your bike is ready. Please only collect the bike after receiving this notification, unless another arrangement has been made.
Can I wait in the shop while my bike is repaired?
Usually not. Repairs are scheduled and completed carefully. We will send you a text message and/or email as soon as your bike is ready.
Can I use a loan bike during the repair?
Non-electric loan bikes may be available by arrangement. Mention that you need a loan bike when making your workshop appointment. Availability cannot be guaranteed without a reservation.
Can you give me a fixed repair price by telephone?
No. We usually cannot provide a reliable fixed price without inspecting the bike. Please bring the bike to the shop so that we can assess the problem and provide an appropriate estimate.
Are replacement parts charged separately?
Yes. Maintenance and labour prices exclude parts and additional fitting time unless expressly stated otherwise. We will inform you if additional parts or work are required. View our maintenance packages and conditions.
How should I bring my bike to the workshop?
Remove loose accessories such as navigation devices, pumps, water bottles, saddle bags, panniers and baskets. For an e-bike, leave the battery and display attached. Bring the charger if it is needed for maintenance, a software update or diagnosis. View our delivery instructions.
Why should I remove loose accessories?
Removing loose accessories allows us to work more safely and efficiently and reduces the risk of items being lost or damaged. Additional charges may apply if we have to remove accessories before maintenance or cleaning.
What should I do if I cannot attend or will be late?
Please notify us as soon as possible through our contact page. If the bike is delivered late, it may lose its reserved position and be handled in order of arrival.
Do you repair bikes that have already been worked on by the owner?
We assess this individually. For safety and fire-risk reasons, we may refuse work involving cut wiring, unsafe modifications, damaged electrical parts or opened e-bike batteries.
What should I do if something is still wrong after a repair?
Contact us as soon as possible through our contact page and bring the bike back so we can inspect our work. Do not allow another repairer to work on the same problem without consulting us first.
Do you repair or maintain fatbikes?
No. We do not accept fatbikes for repairs, maintenance, diagnostics, assembly or electrical work. We make no exceptions.
Do you repair or maintain VanMoof bicycles?
No. We do not accept VanMoof bicycles for repairs, maintenance, diagnostics, software problems or electrical work. We make no exceptions.
Do you repair adapted or specialist bicycles?
Yes. We repair and maintain trikes, three-wheelers, tandems and adapted bicycles. Special or brand-specific parts may mean that repairs take several days. View our information about adapted bicycles.

Do you install e-bike software updates?
A software update may be included when technically possible and when we have access to the relevant system. Bring the correct charger. We cannot read or update every electric bicycle system.
How often does my bike need maintenance?
For a new bike, we generally recommend an initial inspection after approximately three to six months. After that, one annual service is usually sufficient for recreational use. Intensive daily use may require an inspection every six months. Schedule a maintenance appointment.

Yes. We provide a Wash & Wax Service for road bikes, mountain bikes, city bikes and e-bikes. View the available packages and current prices on our Wash & Wax Service page.

Yes. If an insurer or other party requires it, we can prepare a bicycle damage report or valuation. View our information about damage assessments.
Is a damage assessment free?
No. A damage assessment is not a free quotation and must be paid for in advance. If we subsequently repair the bike, the assessment fee is deducted from the repair costs. View the damage assessment information.
Is the assessment fee deducted if I buy another bike?
Yes. Under our current arrangement, the assessment fee is deducted if you subsequently purchase another new or used bicycle from us priced at €200 or more. View our damage assessment information.
E-bike Batteries
Can you test the condition of my e-bike battery?
We can test various batteries from electric bicycles, scooters and mobility scooters. You will receive a report or graph showing the test result. Not every protected battery can be tested. View our information about battery testing and refurbishment.
What should I bring for a battery test?
Bring the battery, its original charger and, if required, the bicycle key. If in doubt, bring the complete bicycle as well. View the complete explanation about battery testing.
Why do you need my own charger for a battery test?
The battery must be fully charged before testing and recharged after the controlled discharge. The charger itself may also be causing the problem. A full assessment of the charging system is not possible without the correct charger.
How long does a battery test take?
A complete capacity test usually takes approximately one working day. A battery with a high remaining capacity takes longer to discharge under controlled conditions than a worn battery.
Can every battery be tested?
No. Some batteries are electronically protected or incompatible with our testing equipment. Bring the battery and charger to the shop so we can determine whether testing is possible.
Can you refurbish an e-bike battery?
Refurbishment is possible for various battery types. Battery refurbishment is not an urgent service; please allow approximately two to eight weeks. View our information about battery testing and refurbishment.
Can you order a new battery?
We can order new bicycle batteries for certain brands and models. We do not supply new batteries for electric scooters or mobility scooters. Bring the old battery and relevant product information for an accurate assessment.
How should I care for my e-bike battery during winter?
Store and charge the battery in a dry place at approximately 10 to 20 °C. Do not store it completely empty. For longer storage, a charge level of approximately 30% to 70% is usually suitable. Always follow the battery manufacturer's instructions.
What determines the range of my e-bike?
Battery capacity, assistance level, temperature, wind, tyre pressure, route, weight and riding style all affect the range. Any average distance is therefore only an estimate and never a guarantee.
What is the difference between a rotation sensor and a torque sensor?
A rotation sensor detects whether the pedals are turning and then activates assistance. A torque sensor also measures how much force you apply and adjusts the motor assistance accordingly. This usually feels more natural and may use the battery more efficiently.
Conversion Service
Can you convert my regular bike into an electric bike?
Yes. A suitable existing bicycle can be converted using a front-wheel motor, rear-wheel motor or mid-drive motor. Bring the bike to the shop for an assessment. View our electric bicycle conversion service.
Which bicycles can be converted to electric assistance?
We convert city bikes, cargo bikes, tandems, tricycles and adapted bicycles. Not every bicycle is technically or economically suitable. View the possibilities offered by our conversion service.

Does a new bicycle include a warranty?
New bicycles are covered by your statutory consumer rights and the applicable manufacturer's warranty. The exact period and conditions vary by brand and component and will be explained when you purchase the bike.
Does a used bicycle include a warranty?
The warranty on a used bicycle depends on the bicycle, purchase price, age and the agreements made at the time of purchase. The applicable warranty will be clearly stated and recorded before purchase. View our current used bicycles.
Can I trade in my old bicycle?
A trade-in may be possible when purchasing another bicycle. Bring your old bicycle to the shop for an assessment. The possibility and value depend on its brand, age, technical condition, resale potential and the bicycle you purchase.

Maintenance Tips
Which is better for my chain: wax or oil?
Chain oil is suitable for a wide range of weather conditions. Wax generally attracts less dirt and is especially popular in dry conditions. Do not mix wax and oil without thoroughly cleaning the chain first.
How can I prevent a lock or cable from freezing?
Use a suitable lock spray and keep cables clean and correctly lubricated. If a lock freezes, carefully use warm air or a suitable de-icing product. Do not use hot water.
How can I improve grip in slippery conditions?
Use suitable winter tyres, avoid sudden braking or steering movements and reduce your speed. Slightly lower tyre pressure may provide more grip within the manufacturer's permitted range. Never go below the specified minimum pressure.
Technology & Comfort
Which saddle can help prevent saddle discomfort?
A very soft saddle is not automatically more comfortable. A suitable saddle supports your sit bones and matches your riding position, bicycle and body shape. We can provide personal advice in the shop.
How much weight can a normal city bike carry?
The maximum total load varies by brand and model and includes the rider, luggage and accessories. Always check the manufacturer's specifications. Heavy or frequent loading may require more frequent inspection of tyres, wheels, spokes and axles.
Manuals
Where can I find manuals and brochures?
Available instructions and catalogues can be found on our manuals and brochures page. Availability varies by brand and model.
Bike Rental
Do you also rent bicycles?
Yes. Our main bicycle rental service is available through Bike Rental Weert. Rental bikes must always be reserved online in advance.
Other
Do you provide a collection and delivery service?
No. We do not provide a collection or delivery service. You must bring and collect the bicycle yourself at Stationsstraat 7. Navigate to Fiets Service Weert.
Can I apply for a job or internship?
You can ask in the shop about current employment or internship opportunities. Please bring a short motivation and your contact details. The availability of a position cannot be guaranteed.
Do you participate in school projects or surveys?
Because of our workshop schedule and commitment to serving customers, we are generally unable to participate in surveys or school projects.
